Anime and manga distribution giant Viz Media has announced it will be bringing Boruto: Naruto the Movie to theaters all across the United States later this year.Viz is partnering with Eleven Arts to release the animated feature in over 80 cities across the region, including New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Seattle. The movie will begin airing on October 10 and features the original Japanese voice work with English subtitles.In the movie, series protagonist Naruto Uzumaki must protect the Hidden Leaf Village, leaving his resentful son Boruto yearning for attention. As a result, Naruto's childhood friend Sasuke takes Boruto under his wing.
Check out the trailer below for a sneak peek.Boruto: Naruto the Movie was executive produced by Masashi Kishimoto, featuring screenplay and character design by Kishimoto. Hiroyuki Yamashita directed the project, with screenplay work by Ukyou Kodachi.
